Orientation Evening 2016
On Tuesday 26 January, Nørre G's annual Orientation Evening took place. This is the event where interested 'Folkeskole'-pupils and their parents can come to hear about the study programmes, the subjects and, not least, the many possibilities for extracurricular activities - socially as well as academically. As usual, the event was a great attraction and around 1,200 expectant guests showed up.
At the joint welcome and introduction session in the Assembly Hall, Headmaster Jens Boe Nielsen started the event by welcoming the guests and speaking about what attending the 'Gymnasium' is all about - in general and specifically about what expectations Nørre G has in the coming students. After this, all the many extracurricular studentactivities and groups were presented by the active students themselves.
The musical elements of the event were presented by our Showband, Choir and the Theatre Concert group who showed the guests other ways of having being extracurriculary active at Nørre.
After the joint introduction session, the guests went to the booths and classrooms, manned by students and teachers, in search of more specific information about the study programmes, the subjects and the activities, they were interested in. Many students had also volunteered as guides to show guests around the school and talk about their daily life as students at Nørre G.
We thank all the interested guests and hope they have enjoyed a festive evening of inspiring information and impressions for their upcoming choice of gymnasium.
