in 1g and pre-IB
Every year when the students of 1g and pre-IB have spent their first 1½ months in their new lives as students at Nørre Gymnasium, The purpose of the meeting is to inform parents about the students' everyday lives and the school's educational framework.
The meeting started by the school's new Show Band performing two songs.
This year the meeting was held on 24 September. Headmaster, Jens Boe Nielsen, started with a joint welcome to all participants and general information among other things about big events at Nørre G e.g. the FLE-party to be held on 30 April 2016, and about parent involvement. In this regard, he recommended an article on the subject he had written previously by request for UddannelsesGuiden (UG/the Education Guide). The article (in Danish) can be found on our website as well as on the website of UG.
The school's large choir sang two songs as a conclusion of the joint welcome
After the joint welcome, the meeting continued by class in separate classrooms. Here, the class team leader and the major subject teachers of the individual classes went through a number of things which are a part of the students' new lives at Nørre G:
- The construction of the Specialised Study Programmes
- The expectations regarding the students' study activity
- Forventningerne til elevernes studieaktivitet
- Classroom Culture
- Absence Rules
- Academic Honesty
Students also played an active part in the meeting telling their parents about their new school life at Nørre
We hope that all students and their parents have spent a pleasant and informative evening which will be an inspiration for a good and involved time through the students' time at Nørre G.
