A great opening night for a fantastic show
Nørre G's talented and committed students and teachers have done it again - and have outdone themselves. This year's theatre group have set up the theatre concert 'Som et strejf' ('As a gentle touch') based on the music by Danish 70's band Gasolins. Fantastic singers, dancers and musicians filled the room and captivated the audience.
Scenery and theme
Apart from the talented performances, a fantastic scenery was built up using more than 400 bike tubes hung up in an intricate web mirrored in the floor decoration, stacks of pallets arranged around the room for the choir and the dancers, a screen on the stage for playing with shadows and colours and many more effects. The interesting theme was also reflected in the costumes, which were decorated in imaginal patterns with rings of bike tubes and other materials.
Thanks and reccommendation from Nørre's Headmaster
Headmaster, Jens Boe Nielsen, who was a part of the audience at the opremiere, presented all the participants - on and off stage - with a rose at the end of the show and the many rounds of applause. Today, Jens Boe has also written his thanks and recommendation which we share here:
This year's theatre concert "Som et strejf" is an unusually great show. Thank you all participants for the commitment, the compassion, the music, the singing, the scenery, the sound, etc., etc.
To everyone else: treat yourselves to a great experience, if it is still possible to get hold of a ticket.
